UPDATED 2018-2019 ART SUPPLY LIST

USE ANY SUPPLIES YOU ALREADY HAVE and if you’d like, go to HobbyLobby.com, WalMart.com, or Amazon.com to see products and prices to help you with your shopping. Most supplies can be purchased from anywhere. Usually, as with most things, the more expensive the product - the better the quality and the results you will have. However, because this is a broad overview of different mediums, you might wait to see if you want to continue with a certain type before you invest a lot of money. Many of these supplies can be also used in your other classes.

If you have any questions about your supplies, you are welcome to shoot me an email,
and I will do my best to respond quickly.
My email address is KHopkins.gpa@gmail.com.
I look forward to meeting you all!

!!! PLEASE BE SURE AND HAVE THE ITEMS WITH A

Set of 3 or more artist paint brushes in various sizes
(Some round & some flat in different widths)
Ruler (non-skid if possible)
An inexpensive clay tool set ($3 or less)
OPTIONAL: A portable container for carrying your supplies (Any plastic container will do.
Fishing tackle boxes are great because of  the compartments and removable trays.
WalMart and Hobby Lobby also have art supply boxes in their arts/crafts aisles).
However, I plan to send out an email before we begin each project with the
supplies your student will be needing, so they don’t have to carry everything with
them all the time.
For the classroom (you can bring on orientation night):
BOYS - 1 roll of .94 inch painter’s tape  GIRLS - 2 rolls of paper towels
ANYONE - old magazines & newspapers

MIDDLE SCHOOL ART
*1 (Size 28” x 22”) Poster Board, any color
(You can bring on orientation night. Be sure and put name on it.)
*Crayola Broad Line Washable Markers - A set of at least 8 colors
Small tubes or bottles of Acrylic Paint (ok if bought in a set):

Set of 12 or more Colored Pencils

HIGH SCHOOL ART 1, 2 & 3

2oz tubes of heavy body Acrylic Paint (ok if bought in a set):
1 each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, brown 2 of white

(If your student loves drawing, Prismacolor Pencils are more expensive but really nice.)
OPTIONAL: Drawing pencils (4H, 2H, F, B, 3B, 5B, 7B) if your student is into drawing,
However, just the basic #2 pencil is fine. Personally, I like Ticonderoga #2 pencils the
best.

store your artwork.
(If you want to get one of these be sure and have your name on it in BLACK Sharpie)
