Students in the High School Art 1 classes recently completed a pen & ink still life based on the art element, Line. First they drew a contour (outline) drawing of their chosen objects in pencil and then traced back over it and added pen and ink shading techniques such a hatching, cross-hatching, contour hatching, scumbling, or stippling using a Micron or Sharpie pen.
