In High School Advanced Art, students learned about the artist Henri Matisse and his style of art called Fauvism. Fauvism is an interesting art form where "color is separated from its descriptive, representational purpose and allowing it to exist on the canvas as an independent element." Students were challenged to create a drawing or painting in the Fauvism style. Aren't they amazing? (Click on each photo to see more clearly.) |
