Students in High School Art II and III completed a weaving project before the Christmas break. I enjoyed doing one along with them as well. After watching a video on four basic weaving techniques we each dove in and had fun making our own small weavings, experimenting with different colors and textures of yarn, using cardboard looms. Before we removed our textiles from the looms we wove in paint stirring sticks to use as a way to hang them up for display. We all enjoyed learning a form of art that was unique from the usual painting and drawing. Enjoy checking out our creations!
