The next Element of Art we have been looking at in Art 1 is Texture. Students learned that texture can be created in a drawing or painting using value (lightness/darkness of a color) and varying the strokes of their pencil/brush (thin/thick, etc.) For their assignment they drew the same form on their paper four times but gave each form a different texture. Have fun seeing their ideas!
